"This farm is operated by an Indigenous group in South America; it appears they have their SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) together. The farm is broken up into a few different phases, with lots of 3-10 hectares and plans for expansion to up to 20-hectare lots. The benefits of working with Indigenous people are that they have lots of land and large groups of manpower at very affordable cost. They also live a self-sufficient lifestyle, so farming is second nature to them. They are very welcoming people; however, many groups have approached them, promised many things, and not followed through, so they can be a bit standoffish. Just like most people, they like to see action and fewer promises. The cons of the projects for commercialization: most of the farms are far away from buyers, and roughly 70% of the farms are in red zones and FARC-controlled areas. So, logistics and operations come with their complications. I do see Indigenous people with a large possibility of production and providing good-quality hemp in the future. I wish nothing but the best for them and anyone else farming #DM #farming #Hemp #Indigenous #gratepeople #cbd #20 #Hectors
