Brain injury awareness post day 21… neuro fatigue and brain injury ! I share this post from last year because it was so impactful for me. It was my first time speaking at a live cannabis event , which I am forever grateful for and really was able to connect with some of the true greats in the industry. What I want to discuss is the reality of invisible illness. After any large event or any type of crowds or social experience this is what people don’t see. My brain is totally spent after any over stimulation! Meaning I just can’t process things the way I always do ! I am not just tired but exhausted ! I try to plan my life of calls , appointments and Activities to recognize this new life hack of self care. Realizing your not the same after brain injury is super frustrating sometimes. When I say I am tired after doing too much ….it’s not the kind of tired I used to feel after working after a long day …. It’s a tired that is all consuming and the only way to tackle it - is to rest ! Not clean , not do the daily things you do ….. but listen to the body and try and reset the best you can. Neuro fatigue is so hard to explain to others and unless you have lived it - please don’t judge or be mean to someone who is doing their best to keep things together. I can honestly say …. I am so glad I have come out of my comfort zone and shared my story , and how the plant saved my life. I am so thankful for the incredible love and support I have received from every human in the industry. I am so grateful for every human in my life who has supported me in this journey. Your truly what gives me the strength to keep going ! Please be kind today ! #braininjuryawarenessmonth #invisibleillness #yourstorymatters #tbisurvivor #patientstories #plantsoverpills #plantmedicine #patientadvocate #holistichealth
