Epiodilex… Manitoba. Final verdict. 1st attempt for a family to access through neurology- Avg 3500$/month for one of my families with intractable epilepsy. No coverage through their insurance provider Manulife. EDS not approved with epileptologist request. Unaffordable. Inaccessible. Big fail. Neurology now recognizing the value of the LP products I’ve been using with their kids and asking me to attend their education sessions. They finally get it! So glad we have other products that are equivalent in quality and much more affordable in Canada for these vulnerable kids. Other countries have no fair competition but we do in Canada thanks to our alternative LP system. LP products here are tested and certified And up to 90% off for these vulnerable families with kids with intractable epilepsy thanks to many companies but especially Tilray Brands, Inc. and Canopy Growth Corporation . Thank you for your dedication to helping these kids. Under 100$/bottle vs 1500$/bottle. Under 500$/month vs up to 5000$/month and more. Let’s all really think about this. My son is on Charlottes web from Tilray. Successfully switched from the Original formula in Colorado over the past few months. Slightly Different genetics due to Canadian climate, same results. Seizures reduced over time to less than 1/week and barely noticeable since starting CW original in 2016. Used to be more than 2-3/hr. No hospitalizations since 2018. Previously could barely leave hospital in 2016. LP products are effective, reliable and regulated here in Canada. Cost saving in many ways. Less than 200$/month. Epiodilex would be over 2000$/month based on his weight and assuming cBD was effective in isolation which it was not for him. Jazz Pharmaceuticals you need to do better. Taking advantage of these families is not ok. These kids deserve CBD and there are many other options. We discussed this. You asked my advice last year. I said make it affordable. This is not affordable.
